CSS- Pavollo

EDIT: I won him! I'm so happy, I was on the edge of my seat all morning to see all of the winners! I finally have a Peacock horse!

Here is my entry for daughterofthestar's "Chirp Chirp Adoptables". This lovely design is #10, the last one on the list. I am aware that there are plenty of Peacock horses out there, but I couldn't pass this one up. I like the natural, but flashy, quality to it. Aaaand I have a slight obsession with Peacocks
I thought this was the perfect opportunity to re-alight my HARPG stables. So, this horse would be used for that purpose (if I get it, that is)! This was also the best way to take a break from my college art classes. It felt so good to bring the Prismacolors out again... yes, I'm alive! I hope I get this design! I'm in love with it. Even thought it was a real challenge to color, I enjoyed every minute.

Name: Lamia Pavollo ("Lamia" refers to the woman in John Keat's poem of the same name. He portrays her as having Peacock-like characteristics. "Pavollo" is in relation to the latin name for Peacock, "Pavo".)

Passable Traits: Big brown eyes, wavy mane & tail, white facial markings, split & colorful tail coloration, leg striping; he carries the leopard appaloosa gene, so those markings are possible as well
Personailty: Pavollo is a mild mannered, observant stallion. He is relatively quiet and easy to handle and care for. He is an absolute pleasure to ride; his step is light and careful. Pavollo can be a bit flighty at times, so he must be approached in the proper way. He tends to be timid towards new people at first, but warms up rather quickly. He is pretty comfortable around several to many people at once, but dislikes sudden movements or noises. Pavollo is not vain by any means, but he sure is bent on keeping himself clean and groomed at all times. His coat is rarely dirty, and he thoroughly enjoys a good bath and brushing. Pavollo's coat produces extra oil, so it is very shiny year round. He absolutely LOVES mares, and coincidentally, quite like his bird counterpart, struts his stuff and promptly shows off for them. He has also been seen trying to impress his female handlers and caretakers, and he is very protective of them. Pavollo is a great trick horse, but be careful, his attention span can be a little on the short side. With small treats and plenty of nose pats, he will be your best performer as well as your best friend.
Bio: Pavollo's father was an Arabian, his mother a Morgan. Both parents were flashy horses, but he inherited his mild personality from his sire. His birthplace was a respectable, peaceful farm where the upbringing, upkeep, and happiness of horses was its first priority. Pavollo's wonderful life and foundation reflects his beauty. His beauty on the outside is easily appreciated, but what is truly special lies within.
